What is Remote PC Support?

Remote computer support, also known as 'online support', allows us to  view your computer screen remotely and securely fix most of your PC  problems right through the Internet using advanced remote control software. In fact, it's like watching your computer fix itself! This type of computer support works through 'desktop sharing' technology. What this means is that when you 'log in to our secure online support centre', you can allow a technical support representative to 'view' and 'interact' with your computer remotely via the Web - fixing problems fast.

How secure is it?

When you log in to our Secure Online Support Centre your are initiating a SSLv3 encrypted connection between your computer and the technician's computer. This is the same encryption as used for Internet Banking. In this way, you have set up a unique one-to-one session that no one else can view or access during the session. That ensures your security and privacy.

In addition, you are in control the whole time. Only you can initiate a remote support session and you can end a session by simply closing the support window on your desktop. Further still, you are always in control of your mouse (cursor). During your session you will see the technician using your cursor to locate and fix problems. At any time you can over-ride mouse control by simply moving your mouse.

Can You Access My Files Without My Knowledge?

Definitely NOT! You will be able to see everything that we do and can end the session yourself at anytime. The secure software that we use automatically deletes itself at the end of each session. Sessions are started only at your request, and proceed only after you give your permission. The technician will only perform functions which are necessary to correct your problem.

Why Is Remote Support Better Than Traditional Methods?

Why wait on hold for ages to speak to support staff, only to be confused by what they told you to do! Or you could pack up your computer and take it to the local repair store, then wait days to get it back (together with a big bill!), and have the worry that a stranger could be looking at your personal files. Alternatively, you could ask a technician to visit you to sort the problem. Another wait and another big bill!

How Much Do You Charge?

Your time spent with our technician will be charged at the rate of £20 for the first 20 minutes. Further time spent by the technician will be charged at the rate of £10 for each 15 min. See the Special Offers page for full details on priceng
